pain, a benefit or hindrance?

Good evening everyone  today's discussion is centered on the topic. Pain, a benefit or Hindrance
Pain over the years have been viewed from a single perspective, In fact we all try as much as possible to avoid this "Negative Feeling " the truth is that pain is a part of every life process, pain comes to all either we like it or not, no human on earth can escape the feeling of pain But what makes the different between us all is how we respond, manage and handle the pain
Pain in itself is neither good nor bad (we have been conditioned to always see it as a bad thing) pain is caused as a resultant effect of another action, pain is never a standalone. We will never know the value of peace without wars, we will never know the value of healthy life if there is nothing like sickness, we will never know the value of joy without sadness so also we can't value life as it is if all things are gotten on a platter of gold, Ask any successful muscle builder or any athletes what pain is and then you will understand the more that  pain is a blessing in disguise, a beauty painted in ashes
The popular quote “No pain No gain” is common among athletes because they have a better understanding of the transformational power that is embedded in pain. Infact  a new  life cannot be born without the pain process. Every advancement in Human race, every medical discover, scientific advancement has an undertone of pain transformation
I believe  (though without a scientific evidence yet) that pain open new doors in our thinking process It is the pain of trekking distances makes man tame horses, the pain of hauling loads around make them build wagons to be dragged by horses. It is the pain of dealing with the mess created by rowing all the way through the Atlantic Ocean that makes men invent steam engined ships
       Man by nature always seek comfort and pleasure So if all we have around is already comfortable we see no reason of changing the status quo. A successful entrepreneur strive to do more because the imagination of pain of losing push him beyond his limits. Pains don't always process the same way with everyone, the pain poverty brings spur some to think of robbing a bank while that same pain spur others to work harder on his business /job. Pain in itself is to help us (many might not believe this). Reading stories of successful men I noticed a trend, Most if not all decided to change the status quo of their lives or that of the environment because of the pain caused to them, I will but mention a few;
Myles Monroe; His teacher calld him a monkey and said He will never amount to anything Down casted and full of pain He decided that He will prove His teacher wrong. The rest is History
Martin Luther King Jr; Living in a society where been a black is a crime, always taunted and mocked, forced to live below standard of living. Decided to change the status quo Was beaten, stabbed and Imprisoned. Was finally assassinated Today the Black society will forever be grateful to Him
Abraham Lincoln; Lost elections like He his born to loose When He finally became the president, the American Civil war broke out. Able to manage the war and unite America, He made the proclamation of emancipation from slavery for all black slaves. Was assassinated But He formed the basis on which Human rights and freedom was born.
Ifeanyi Uba (CEO capital oil); Born to a poor family of teachers Been the first son of his family, needs to drop out of school and support his family at an early stage. Became an apprentice of a tyre seller The pain of lack and poverty transform His mind to work harder and smarter Today Has multinational companies and even a football club to His name (Recently won the senatorial seat from a very unpopular party)
There are endless examples of those who took the pain experienced in life as the fuel to propel the rocket to their success. Life is never fair but you have to take your fair share of life if you are willing to make a difference. We don't have to allow the pain caused by situations we can't handle or those close to us or far from us to control our lives But rather let us understand that pain is a part of growth process in life and it is required in our formative process. What makes a great leader is not his ability to perform well when the going is good alone but his ability to maintain His cool when in deep pain We all tend to lose our cool when pain comes, but pain build endurance in us
                      The holy book says Jesus learn obedience by the things He suffered”
   Lastly, Pain will never cease as long as earth exist, so also you should never quit as long as you live. Don't let the pain stop brain. channel the energy from your pain into the required velocity required to drive your vision.

EXPLORING YOUR MIND

Tonight we'll discuss the topic “ Exploring your Mind” . A geologist, an artist, and a farmer might look at a rocky mountain, but their eyes would see three different things. Now, put yourself into one of those personalities and tell me what you see out of the rocky mountain? The geologist would be thrilled and be curious to know the history of their formation. The artist would be moved by colors and the grandeur of the magnificent silhouette. The farmer might grumble, "I can't grow any crop up there!" . But the farmer forgot that, it's a great opportunity for him to sharpen his blunt tools. “You can't explore if you don't have anything in Mind” When you hear the term Mind, what does it mean to you? What's the meaning of the word Mind ? Sir William Hamilton defined the mind as   ;                             ...
